Tyler Cruz is an actress and artist of proud Caribbean descent currently based in New York City. 

After being introduced to the art of theatre halfway through her undergraduate career and receiving her BS in Neuroscience from the University of Pittsburgh, she realized that her curiosity for investigating human motivations could be more passionately pursued through storytelling and performance than through studying brain anatomy.

She received her MFA in Acting from the David Geffen School of Drama at Yale in 2023 where she expanded her theatrical scope and also served as a Producing Artistic Director for the 2022 Summer of Love Season at the Yale Summer Cabaret.

Her interests include facilitating creative communities from which she draws inspiration, producing new theatrical works, coaching, and channeling other forms of creative expression- writing and painting.

In her free time, you may find her dribbling around on the basketball court, playing piano, learning jiu jitsu, or traversing a beach somewhere on a small Caribbean island.
